Antiques experts meet removals specialists – a match made in heaven!
One man's curiosity and love for antiques started at the age of 15 back in 1959 and from that early beginning he devoted his whole life to passing his enthusiasm, love and knowledge through his family and into the business and team he created. Initially this was a love for antiques worldwide and then settling in the Dordogne, with French Antiques becoming the real passion.
F4E Removals is a subsidiary of Furniture 4 Events (F4E) , a well-established furniture hire company with a range of top-quality furniture for weddings, parties and functions, serving the UK's most luxury clients such the Hilton and Dorchester hotels in London
Moving forward a couple of decades and fate brought these two businesses together. From the nightmare of the Covid Pandemic and the troubles Brexit brought to both the Antiques industry and Removal industry, came an exciting new chapter and collaboration.
When COVID closed the hospitality industry, Furniture 4 Events Ltd saw an opportunity to diversify into removals and storage. It just so happened that the first job took them from Newbury to the Ariege in France. An on-going opportunity was spotted and the removals service between UK and France took off!
With Brexit regulations adding complications which removed many of their competitors, the F4E team took full advantage and have become well known for their cross-Channel speciality, with many happy and satisfied customers giving excellent testimonials on our website.
The combination of Covid and Brexit knocked out the usual transporters for the Antiques to come from France to the UK and suddenly they also had a serious problem they needed to solve.
From the first day the two teams met, the collaboration became an exciting and fascinating journey with the end result of the businesses coming together to form Manoir Antiques.
Manoir Antiques & Decorative Interiors brings together the best of both worlds – a love of French antiques and decades of experience in the field, with the best logistical capabilities to transport all the wonderful pieces safely across the Channel. Once here in the UK workshop, they are lovingly polished and refurbished and then put on display in our extensive showroom for our visitors to enjoy as well as on our website for both UK and international clients to peruse.
The best businesses are formed from the best relationships, and here at Manoir Antiques we have great fun together and work hard with pride to deliver what we feel is the best antique offering in Great Britain.
We really hope you enjoy the Manoir experience and find some stunning pieces that appeal to you and your family amongst our significant and elegant collection.
